brighten the corners, btc studio for design was founded in london
by frank philippin, ma rca (dipl.-designer rca)
in 1999.
the stuttgart office opened in november 2002
.

frank worked for various advertising agencies, publishers and
design studios as designer and art director in stuttgart, hamburg,
karsruhe and london from 1990, before setting up the
london office in 1999.
he is currently a visiting lecturer in graphic design at brighton university,
kent institute, kingston university and the merz akademie in stuttgart.

in summer 2001, billy kiossoglou joined brighten the corners as partner
after completing an ma in graphic design at the royal college of art.

other 'brighten the corners' members include julia pitts (3d consultant
and writer) and christine dorst (graphic designer).

apart from this core group of designers we also work with brand
consultant (boz temple-morris), photographers (lars svenkerud,
barbara metz, eve racine), copy writers (kai hafner, claudia krüger),
and illustrators (simone lea, tom gauld).
